Noah and the Flood, and the Animals [Original Story]
Noah and the Flood, and the Animals
This was one of my Bible projects. The goal was to write about a Bible story involving animals.
The story I used was Noah and the Flood. Instead of having Noah and God's perspective, I used an animal's perspective. Enjoy reading!
It was a nice sunny day for me, a wild cat, to laze around in the forest. Calm winds passed my skin as I walked around. There were oh-so-many others with me living here. It was a nice place, really. There were hundreds of different trees with sweet fruits, and well, some tiny worms. The birds would fly in the sky and they would land on the top of the trees. I also like going to the shore of the ocean. I would greet my friends there a perfect amount away from the water. Today I was just lying under a tall tree with a small leaf on my back. But, something really upsetting happened. A cough was heard from a man. He was holding a piece of paper and a quill, and I had no idea where the ink was, but that’s not what I mean. He came into the forest, disrupting every single animal’s rest or anything! Now at that awful moment, all you could hear was a raven’s loud shouts, a cobra’s hiss, a bear’s growl, a little squeak of an ant, and a hundred more angry sounds from others. Well, I waited patiently. What was this man going to say?
“As ordered by the Lord, I must get two of all living creatures, along with food.” He thought to himself while whispers were heard throughout the forest. Now everyone also worried about the other animals. A bird heard the man mumbling to himself. “A flood. A worldwide flood. I must bring all the land animals.” The bird immediately alerted all of us about it. Everyone got worried, including me. I hated water!
A long time after, many sobs were heard because the man was collecting two animals at a time. Others were left. I quickly ran to the barn where I would most likely find my friend. He was a boy, Brazen. I called him over. The man let both of us inside a gigantic ark. It was so large, with lots of animals inside. The man was a very talented person. Later on, all animals and a few humans were inside or flying outside. It rained at night, and before we knew it the entire world was flooding! Many were panicking but we were safe inside, anyway. For forty days and forty nights, we stayed inside, waiting for food from the man and his family. One day, we all rushed to the man because he was letting out a dove, Tabitha, including a raven, Lois. He was doing this in an attempt to test if there was land. The night after Lois returned. She told us she didn't find a place to perch. Tabitha also returned and she also couldn’t find a place to perch. Seven days passed and he let out Tabitha again. She returned with a freshly plucked olive leaf! Later on, the earth dried up and we could finally go on land again. It was an amazing journey although hard thanks to the man.
I was the last to exit, saying my goodbyes to the ark. I spotted the man. He had some burnt offerings on an altar. A rainbow appeared in the sky. I wonder why. I heard him praying to a God. It seems that this God was very powerful. He was thanking God for helping him. I thanked the God the man was praying to. That God sure is a powerful God. Is He the true God?
